Barrier Advisor Senior Managing Director Receives CTP Designation

DALLAS (December 20, 2007) - Kent Laber of Barrier Advisors has been awarded the professional designation of Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP). Mr. Laber leads the firm and has been providing companies and creditor groups with consulting and restructuring advice for more than 16 years. He has also provided expert testimony in Bankruptcy Court and been a speaker at the AIRA Annual Conference. Mr. Laber's experience also includes mergers and acquisitions advisory; including 363 sales as well as buy-side and investor due diligence.

To become a CTP, professionals must meet stringent standards of education, experience and professional conduct. The CTP designation provides evidence of an individual's commitment and also attests to a level of expertise related to workouts, restructurings and corporate renewal. CTPs are required to participate in continuing-education programs to maintain their certification.

The Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals (ACTP) is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to developing, monitoring, and maintaining a program of certification for professionals engaged in the turnaround, crisis management, restructuring and renewal of troubled businesses, organizations and associations.
