Mr. J Charles Shifferd is an Operations Director at Barrier Advisors. He has over 18 years of experience in operations leadership for consumer products, and automotive manufacturing companies, having served as Vice President of Operations and General Manager for multi-facility operations. He has successfully led numerous turnaround opportunities, implementing lean manufacturing and six sigma improvement methods.
Prior to joining Barrier Advisors, Mr. Shifferd was a General Manager for Nautic Global Group, an OEM manufacturer of recreational watercraft, and Vice President of Operations for Zimmerman Sign Company, a manufacturer of industrial signage products. Additionally Mr. Shifferd has several years of experience within the automotive industry as engineering and manufacturing manager for tier 1 OEM suppliers.
Mr. Shifferd received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, and his MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He is certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt.
