Harold Kessler - Director - Barrier Advisors

Mr. Kessler leads Barrier's wind-down practice and is also involved in the firm's corporate restructuring and corporate finance practices. Mr. Kessler brings over 20 years of lending experience including significant experience in restructuring loans, workouts, liquidations, wind-downs and originations. His transaction experience includes work across numerous industry sectors.

Mr. Kessler is acting as Plan Administrator and Trustee of the FC Term Lenders Liquidating Trust. Mr. Kessler is also managing the bankruptcy, asset sales and wind-down of Amcast Industrial Corporation, and the wind-down of Thayer Aerospace Consolidated, Inc. Previously, Mr. Kessler served as the interim President and Chief Restructuring Officer of a global pharmaceutical company, led the sale of a designer and manufacturer of porcelain collectibles, managed the wind-down and asset sales of Acme Packaging Corporation, Prime Succession, Inc., and the liquidation and foreclosure of the assets of a poultry processor. Mr. Kessler also led the Situation Assessment and sale of First Mortgage Notes collateralized by convenience stores in Florida, led the refinancing of a business process outsourcing provider and also led several pre-lending due diligence engagements over the last several years.

Prior to joining Barrier Advisors, Mr. Kessler served as Vice President and Portfolio Manager of Guaranty Business Credit Corporation where he managed a large secured lending portfolio. Mr. Kessler also worked as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager for Banc One Management & Consulting Corporation, AT Commercial Credit Corporation (Ameritrust Bank) as Regional Manager, and BT Commercial Corporation (Bankers Trust Corp.) as Credit Manager.

Mr. Kessler is a member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, Association for Corporate Growth, Turnaround Management Association, Dallas/FT. Worth Turnaround Management Association - board member, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Southwest Chapter of the Commercial Finance Association - board member. Mr. Kessler holds a Bachelors degree in Finance and Marketing from Adelphi University. Mr. Kessler is also a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).
