Mr. Kessler leads Barrier’s wind-down practice and is involved in the firm’s corporate restructuring and corporate finance practices. Mr. Kessler is currently managing the wind-down of Acme Packaging Corporation as well as the bankruptcy, asset sales and wind-down of Amcast Industrial Corporation, and is overseeing the liquidation and foreclosure of the assets of a poultry processor. Mr. Kessler is also leading the sale of a designer and manufacturer of porcelain collectibles. Previously, he managed the wind-down and asset sales of Prime Succession, Inc., until its conclusion and led the refinancing of a business process outsourcing provider. He has also led several due diligence engagements over the last several years. Mr. Kessler brings over 20 years of lending experience including significant experience in restructuring loans, workouts, liquidations, wind-downs and originations. His transaction experience includes work across numerous industry sectors.

Prior to joining Barrier Advisors, Mr. Kessler served as Vice President and Portfolio Manager of Guaranty Business Credit Corporation where he managed a large secured lending portfolio. Mr. Kessler has previously worked as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager for Banc One Management & Consulting Corporation, AT Commercial Credit Corporation (Ameritrust Bank) as Regional Manager, and BT Commercial Corporation (Bankers Trust Corp.) as Credit Manager.

Mr. Kessler is a member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, Association for Corporate Growth, Turnaround Management Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Southwest Chapter of the Commercial Finance Association. Mr. Kessler holds a Bachelors degree in Finance and Marketing from Adelphi University.
