Mr. O’Malley is a member of the corporate finance and corporate restructuring groups. He joined Barrier Advisors after graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a Masters in Business Administration. Mr. O’Malley has served clients within building products, exploration and production, multi-unit retail, aerospace, communications and packaging industries.
Mr. O’Malley previously worked at HBK Investments, L.P., within Distressed Investments. In that role, he performed investment strategy execution, operational and portfolio management support for a portfolio of distressed securities. Prior to HBK Investments, L.P., Mr. O’Malley was an analyst at Enron North America where he performed analysis on natural gas markets supporting Enron’s wholesale trading operation. Additionally, Mr. O’Malley worked at BMO Capital Markets within the Energy and Power Investment Banking Group where he advised on assignments for several large and mid-cap energy clients.
Mr. O’Malley was awarded a BBA from the University of Oklahoma, an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and is a candidate for the CFA Level II Exam.
